Header image not showing in v1.7

I’ve followed the directions and uploaded logo.gif using the Media tab in the admin panel. It shows there. I chose image-head-no-website-name.php, entered the image name, height and width under Header Image, set the background color to fff and deleted the background image.

The background image delete doesn’t save. The logo shows only the place holder red x box. Using IE8 Developer Tools, the path to the logo is /wp-content/uploads/logo.gif. But, if I ftp to the blog, WP put the logo in /wp-content/uploads/2010/02/logo.gif. Is this a bug?

Hi

No shouldnt be any bugs left (hopefully).

As it says in the instructions on the admin panel, because of the way the images are called, you cannot just delete the wording-it does come back- you need to write “none” in there and then save. That will get rid of the image.

Have you tried putting both locations in the box? It can get a but confusing with the way Wordpress throws images into month/year folders. Try both in the box, so either

logo.gif

or

2010/02/logo.gif

Its a common problem seem to be having, but its fixable. Let me know if that fixes it, if not send me the link to your blog and I will have a look. Thanks!

WOW!! I wasn’t expecting an answer so quickly!! I’m blown away that a free template would have such responsive support. That gives me a lot more confidence to keep tweaking the design.
